I am coming back to the Schiphol airport after spending a couple of days in Amsterdam. We are going on a Holland America cruise and are getting the transfers to take us from this airport to the ship which is docked in Rotterdam. We were told that the meeting place was across from the Burger King. This Burger King is located between terminal 1 and terminal 2 and is on the lower level
Which entrance at the airport would be best to use to be on the lower level and close to this Burger King ?
Once we entered the airport ( at the entrance you suggested ) to be on the lower level- would we turn left or right to find the Burger King? About how far of a walk would it be ?
Do you have a map that you could share that would help us locate our meeting place ?
Thanks you for any help
Vickie
Hi Vickie
You can enter the airport through Schiphol Plaza, which is the main public area for arrivals and shopping. This plaza connects to all terminals and provides access to the lower level. After entering via Schiphol Plaza, head towards the lower level by taking an escalator or elevator. From there, turn right to locate the Burger King. It is only a short walk away, roughly a few minutes from the main entrance of Schiphol Plaza. The walking distance is minimal, and since Schiphol Airport is well-marked, you should have no trouble finding the meeting point. For further clarity, you can also ask the airport's information desk once you arrive for more precise directions!

Hello! I hope you are doing well!
On Jan 26th, I'll have a 3-hour layover in AMS, landing from Colombia at 10:55am and departing to Dubai at 2:20pm. Considering immigration and security times, is there any place inside the airport in which I could do a 50min run? Do you have any recommendations?
I have checked and I could take a shower in KLM lounge afterwards, but don't know if running inside the airport is doable and/or if there are any treadmills available
Many thanks in advance
Hello,
You can use the Sheraton Fitness Center, located within the airport complex. It offers cardio and strength equipment, free weights, and showers. Non-hotel guests can purchase a day pass—contact the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel to confirm fees.

My husband and I were traveling with a friend and her daughter on June 5, 2025. We were waiting at the gate to leave from Amsterdam to Istanbul on DL 9568. My friend got up to walk to the restroom and was hit by a driver of the passenger transport within the terminal. She was knocked down and sustained bruises on her left shoulder, hip, knee and leg. The driver did stop but did not apologize. He said she walked in front of her. Airport personnel were called but no medical personnel came. This occurred prior to our flight departure so we would have missed our flights if we can gone to the clinic to have her attended to. I asked for ice 3 times to put on her knee for swelling. Eventually she was brought a cup of ice. Not even a plastic bag to place it in. This situation was handled very poorly from the airport personnel. We were very disappointed on how her injuries were treated. Please tell me who we need to contact to address this situation.
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience. However, please note that we are not the airport authority but an independent service platform. To formally address the incident, we recommend contacting Amsterdam Schiphol Airport directly at info@schiphol.nl or via their official website at https://www.schiphol.nl .
