Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Opens Its First Louis Vuitton Store

On May 27, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol launched its first-ever Louis Vuitton boutique in Lounge 2, taking a major step in making the airport more upscale for travelers coming and going from overseas.

What the store offers:

  • The boutique spans over 200 m² and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. GMT.
  • Inside, travelers will find travel items, leather goods, accessories, shoes, and fragrances, in short, everything you'd expect from Louis Vuitton.
  • It features a personalization service: you can add a special “visa stamp” design to your leather items, like passport holders, making it a unique souvenir.
  • The store is decorated with modern art, including works by Dutch artist Hadassa Emmerich and a totem by Florencia Vual, adding a cultural touch to the space.

Why it matters:

  • This is the first Louis Vuitton location at any airport, even though the brand has four other shops in the Netherlands, two in Amsterdam city and one in Rotterdam.
  • Schiphol’s CCO, Arthur Reijnhart, called this store a “milestone” in their plan to upgrade food, duty-free, and luxury shopping areas and make the airport a true "home port" for international travelers.

This store marks a new chapter for Schiphol Airport’s transformation into a luxury travel destination, offering passengers a richer, more personalized experience before they even leave the airport.
