Atlanta Airport Terminals and Airlines Information

at Atlanta Airport, there are two main terminals, Domestic (T, A, B, C, D, E) and International (F) located on opposite ends and connected by 7 concourses. The Plane Train, the internal-terminal train in the airport connects all the concourses and allows passengers to easily travel from one concourse to another. Each concourse is home to various gates for domestic and international flights. Over 23 airlines, including both local and international, fly from this airport and operate from multiple concourses. Atlanta Airport also serves as Delta Airlines' headquarters, hence Delta Air Lines flights fly from all concourses. Moreover, over 2,700 flights fly from Atlanta Airport with around 300,000 passengers catching their flights from different terminals.

CONCOURSE T (MAIN DOMESTIC TERMINAL)

This is one of the main terminals also known as the Domestic Terminal because it is an extension of the main Domestic Terminal. It serves American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and an array of other airlines. This concourse also has 21 gates (T1-T21) that serve many local and international flights. It is also the main entrance point from where passengers can transfer to other concourses of the airport. Although it is a domestic terminal, many international carriers also operate from this concourse.

CONCOURSE A - DOMESTIC TERMINAL

This concourse is connected to Concourse T and B and is easily accessible via Concourse T (International Terminal). It contains 29 gates, including Gates A1 to A18 and A19 to A34. This terminal is on the east side of Concourse T and only serves Delta Air Lines. The gates are also reserved for Delta Air Lines with mostly inter-state flights flying from this concourse. The concourse serves domestic flyers with a wide array of services, including, food courts, charging stations, restrooms, seating areas, and more. If you are coming from the Domestic Terminal, Gates A1 to A18 will be on your right side, and A19 to A34 will be on the left side. Since Delta Airlines is the only airline that flies from this concourse, most Delta flyers use this concourse.

CONCOURSE B - DOMESTIC TERMINAL

This concourse features 32 gates, which are accessible through the Plane Train at ATL Airport. The Delta Air Lines Ticket Center and Delta Self-Service Center are located near gate B9 in this concourse. A wide variety of food and beverage, retail stores, and other services are available on this concourse. The Delta charging station is available near Gate B16 and the smoking lounge is located near Gate B24.

CONCOURSE E - DOMESTIC TERMINAL

This concourse is home to 24 gates and serves a wide range of domestic and international carriers. Plane Train runs every 2 minutes from all the concourses so you can easily reach from one of the concourses including Concourse E. Various international airlines operate from this concourse such as Air France, Lufthansa, and Korean Air. The concourse features a Delta Sky Club in front of Gate E15 and a private suite facility open to economy-class travelers.

CONCOURSE F (International Terminal):

This concourse is connected to the main International Terminal where most of the international departure gates are. It consists of 12 gates: F1 to F10, and F12 to F14. It serves a wide range of international airlines including Air Canada Express, Air France, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Air France, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, and Qatar Airways. It is much easier for passengers to navigate this concourse as it is half the size of the other concourses and only has 12 gates. Therefore, it only takes a few minutes from security to your departure gate.

How Transfer Between Concourses and Terminals at Atlanta Airport

#1. Shuttle Bus To move between the Domestic and International Terminals without going through security again, use the airport shuttle service. From the MARTA station on the west side of the Domestic Terminal, exit through gates W1 or W2, follow signs to the Ground Transportation Center, and take the Terminal Shuttle Connector bus to the International Terminal.

#2. The Plane Train is a free subway train that helps you move around the airport after security. It runs a 3-mile loop, stopping at the Domestic Terminal (baggage claim), International Terminal, and concourses T, A, B, C, D, and E. The train runs every 2 minutes, 24/7, with timers showing when it arrives.

What is the Difference Between North and South Terminal Atlanta?

The airport has two main terminals: Terminal South for Delta Airlines and Terminal North for all other airlines. You can move between these terminals using the Plane Train, which is an automated people mover (APM), and a walking path. Both the APM and the walkway link all seven concourses (T, A, B, C, D, E, and F), making it easy to navigate between terminals and gates
