Bahrain International Airport (BAH), established in 1927 on Muharraq Island, is the Persian Gulf’s oldest international gateway and the primary airport serving the Kingdom of Bahrain. Its state-of-the-art passenger terminal, which opened on January 28, 2021, spans 210,000 m² and boosts capacity to 14 million passengers and 130,000 air traffic movements per year. Located just 7 kilometers northeast of Manama, the compact single-terminal layout ensures easy navigation, while taxis, car rentals, hotel shuttles, and expanding public transport options guarantee seamless connections to the city center.

BAH offers a wealth of amenities designed for traveler comfort and convenience: a 9,000 m² duty-free retail zone, numerous shops and over 40 dining outlets, prayer rooms, baby-care facilities, and free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal.
