Another disaster at Tokyo's Honda Airport. A Japan Airlines plane with several passengers caught fire while landing and then collided with another plane that was at the airport, intending to help earthquake victims.

Luckily, everyone, including eight very young children, on JAL flight 516 got off the plane safely, according to the airline. However, sadly, five out of the six people on the other plane didn't make it, and the pilot was in very serious condition.

The Airbus A350-900 plane caught fire after it came from Sapporo, a city in northern Japan, at 5:47 p.m. local time (3:47 a.m. ET).

A JAL (Japanese Airlines) representative about this sad situation said: We are investigating the situation and causes of the plane's air in Tokyo's Honda Airport. According to the NHK news, 17 people were confirmed to have been injured in the Japan Airlines plane by local fire services.  Also, 100 fire trucks were sent to the firing scene, as per NHK reports.

Based on the video published, the passenger jet is on fire as it moves along the runway. After the JAL plane stopped, passengers used the escape slide to break out the fire while firefighters tried to put out the growing flames.

Guy Maestre from France, who is coming to visit Japan from Philadelphia, witnessed the incident closely. He explained about this accident:“ I heard a very loud noise, and I was hoping everyone was going to be safe.”

He said I was in another plane, sitting near a window, and the plane was near takeoff when I heard the loud bang sound. After that sound, I looked out of the window and saw the huge trail of flames running down the runway. Flames were going higher, and after that, we saw fire trucks rushing along the runway.
