The Munich AirportAcademy has announced a strategic partnership with the Capital Airports Management Academy (CAMA) Beijing, the renowned training division of Capital Airports Holding Company, one of China's largest airport groups. This collaboration, formalized by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Beijing on Wednesday, November 13, 2025, represents a major step in the AirportAcademy’s efforts to broaden its international training network throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The core objectives of the partnership focus on exchanging expertise in key areas such as operations, safety procedures, and sustainable practices. Additionally, a priority has been placed on jointly developing innovative training modules and enhancing employee competencies. The exchange of knowledge between trainers is also a central component of this initiative.

Furthermore, this new alliance aims to foster talent by ensuring training standards align with international best practices and by collaboratively nurturing the next generation of aviation experts. The initiative also emphasizes sustainability and innovation, reflecting the shared priorities of organizations like ICAO and ACI.

Both parties have officially reaffirmed their goals with the MoU and established a concrete roadmap for launching initial training activities in 2026.

Fabiola Pfauser, Head of Learning & Development at Munich AirportAcademy, expressed her excitement, stating: "We are thrilled about this strategic alliance with CAMA. Together, we will elevate training standards and make a vital contribution to developing a highly skilled, sustainable, and innovative workforce across the Asia-Pacific region."

Mei Luming, Party Secretary of CAMA, commented on the significance of the agreement: "With the signing of this MoU between two airport academies, we believe it will become an excellent bridge facilitating the interchange, connection, and communication of courses, airport operation experiences, new technologies, and human resources for both sides, and indeed for the civil aviation industries of both countries."

This latest partnership strengthens the bond between the two organizations, building upon the foundation established by the Sister Airport Agreement signed in 2011 between Munich Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA).
