Location

ICN Airport Location

Incheon International Airport is located about 50 km west of downtown Seoul, on reclaimed land along the Yellow Sea. The AREX train, airport buses and expressways connect it with Seoul Station, Gangnam and the wider metropolitan area.

Facilities

ICN Facilities

ICN offers free high-speed Wi-Fi, family zones, quiet rooms, prayer rooms, shower facilities and nursing areas. Travellers can enjoy duty-free shopping, spas, capsule hotels, massage chairs and airline lounges.

Transportation

Ground Transportation

The AREX train offers express and all-stop services to Seoul Station and Gimpo Airport. Airport limousine buses reach major hotels and districts, while taxis and car rental desks are available at both terminals.

Airlines

Airlines and Connectivity

Korean Air and Asiana Airlines are ICN’s main carriers, alongside dozens of international airlines such as Delta, Lufthansa and Emirates. The airport connects Seoul with over 100 destinations across Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania.

ICN has two main terminals. Terminal 1 handles most carriers, while the newer Terminal 2, opened in 2018, serves Korean Air and its partners with expanded capacity. A free shuttle train connects the two, so check which terminal your airline uses.

Parking

Parking Services

Multi-level garages sit next to both terminals for quick access to check-in, with valet service also available. EV charging points are installed across the levels, and short and long-term spaces can be reserved online in advance.

Shoppers in South Korea can claim a VAT refund on eligible purchases at the refund counters after immigration, presenting their receipts, passport and boarding pass. Clear signage directs travellers to the Tax Free kiosks in the departure area.

Security

Security Procedures

ICN combines rigorous security with efficient screening to keep queues moving. Advanced X-ray machines scan carry-on baggage, and separate lanes for families, elderly travellers and those with reduced mobility help speed up the process.
