Renowned for its outstanding passenger experience, Singapore Changi Airport is enhancing its services by highlighting local artisan products. The initiatives aim to provide travelers with a unique chance to interact with Singapore's rich cultural heritage and to support local talent.

Meet & Make Market: Engaging with Local Artisans

“Meet & Make Market” will take place from June 19-23, 2024 at Jewel Changi Airport's Level 2 South Gateway Garden. This activity invites travelers and visitors to take part in interactive workshops led exclusively by local artisans. The activities include terrarium making, leather crafting and other hands on experiences allowing participants to create personalized gift items while learning about traditional crafts. Duration of each session is approximately 30 minutes, providing a relevant and engaging cultural experience for travelers in transit or visiting the airport.

Singapore Design Collective: A Permanent Showcase

Changi Airport goes beyond temporary events to host a permanent retail space committed to local artisans. Singapore Design Collective, which operates under the “KEEPERS” brand, has established a kiosk in Terminal 1. This space offers a collection of handmade products such as jewelry, scarves and accessories by Singaporean designers. By giving artisans exposure to the airport's heavy foot traffic, this initiative allows travelers to purchase an authentic, locally made product that captures the creative spirit of Singapore.

Anthology by Compendium Spirits: Celebrating Local Flavors

“Anthology by Compendium Spirits” at Jewel Changi Airport offers an experimental bar showcasing Singapore's craft spirits scene. Founded in 2015, Compendium Spirits is the first in Singapore to offer locally aged spirits such as Dark Rum and Hom Mali Rice Whiskey. A menu of specialty cocktails inspired by Southeast Asian flavors, such as Rojak gin and Ondeh Ondeh soju, is featured at the bar, offering travelers a taste of Singapore's varied cuisine heritage.
