A man was arrested from Heathrow Airport on suspicion of murder in East London. The arrest took place just hours after a man was hit by a car in East Ham. A 35-year-old man was left injured after being hit by a car on Barking Road, near the junction with Araggon Road. Police immediately reached the crime scene and despite efforts, the injured man passed away a few hours later. Initial investigation led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man from Heathrow and a 30-year-old suspected of assisting the offender. Both alleged offenders stay in police custody. DCI Joanna Yorke, the lead investigator, said: “I am aware that a large number of people had been at an event in Barking Road overnight and many would have witnessed the incident. I am appealing for those people to come forward immediately. Your information could be vital to the investigation”. Further investigations are underway and further details will be provided later.
