A new online visa service has been introduced by the Russian government. This is an electronic visa with a 60-day maximum validity period after approval and stay for up to 16 days from the date of entry.

Travelers who meet the requirements must fill out the online application for a Russian e-visa with their personal information and passport details.
A letter of invitation, a confirmation of a hotel reservation, or any other document attesting to the purpose of the applicant's trip to the Russian Federation is not necessary for e-visa applicants.
NOTE: The maximum number of days that a visitor may remain in the Russian Federation on the basis of a e-visa is 16, NOT 384 (24 hours multiplied by 16). Two days are considered to be the day of arrival and the day of departure. The visa calculator should be used to determine the allowable length of stay.

Dos
- Make sure you have everything needed to apply for a Russian E-visa, such as a current passport from a nation that is eligible, valid russia travel insurance and a specific reason for your trip (tourist, business, or humanitarian).
- Apply for your e-visa application well before your intended travel date to allow enough processing time. At least apply for e-visa before 4 days from your planned travel date, allowing enough time to process.

Do I have to print Russia E-Visa?
Yes, travelers with a Russia E-visa were required to print the approved E-visa sent to email and carry it with them for presentation at the port of entry during their visit to Russia.
