Passenger Activity at Dubai Airport to Reach Over 4 Million this Year

This festive season is about to be a busy one for Dubai Airport. One of the world's busiest airports is expected to receive over 4 million passengers this month. The daily footfall is estimated to reach 258,000 with December 22 being the busiest day for the airport. The final two weekends are expected to be the busiest with half a million flights scheduled to arrive and depart.

Terminals 1,2 and 3 are hosting many holiday festivities including a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus and his elves for children and 3D photography in a giant snow globe. Travelers are advised to use Emirates at-home check-in to avoid long queues.

Fly Dubai advises passengers to arrive at least 4 hours before departure at Terminal 2 to avoid any problems. Families with children over 12 years of age can also use the Smart Gate facility at Terminal 3. The Smart Gate Facility allows travelers to pass through passport control within seconds just by scanning the passenger's face.

The airport also suggests using the Dubai Metro to get to and from Terminals 1 and 3. Drivers are advised to avoid the Airport Road leading to Terminals 1 and 3 as you might experience traffic jams during peak hours. People coming to receive guests are also advised to use the metro or park their cars in the airport's parking area. The measures are being taken by the airport management to make sure everything runs smoothly without any unnecessary delays.
