Explore Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is one of the largest and busiest airports in Europe and the main international gateway to Paris. Located in Roissy-en-France, it is the home of Air France and welcomes millions of travellers every year.

Whether you are arriving, departing or connecting, this guide covers everything you need, from ground transportation and parking to terminals, airlines, customs and security at CDG.
CDG Airport Location
CDG is located in Roissy-en-France, about 25 km northeast of central Paris. It is well connected to the city and the wider Île-de-France region by motorways, the RER B train and high-speed TGV rail links.
CDG Facilities
CDG offers duty-free shopping with French fashion and perfume brands, diverse dining, free Wi-Fi and currency exchange. Airport lounges and medical and business services add extra comfort.
Ground Transportation
The RER B train links CDG with central Paris in around 30–40 minutes, and TGV services connect the airport to other French cities. Taxis, shuttle buses and car rental are also available. See the best transport options.
Airlines and Connectivity
As the main hub of Air France and a key SkyTeam gateway, CDG connects Paris with cities across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. See the full list of airlines and terminals.
Terminals Overview
CDG has three terminals. Terminal 1 has a distinctive circular design, Terminal 2 is the largest and is divided into halls 2A to 2G (the main base for Air France), and Terminal 3 serves low-cost and charter flights. The RER B links all terminals.
Parking Services
CDG offers short-term parking near the terminals and long-term options for extended trips, in both covered garages and open-air lots. Valet parking and electric vehicle charging points are available for added convenience.
Non-EU visitors can reclaim VAT on eligible purchases using the PABLO self-service kiosks before departure. Dedicated customs lanes and clear guidance help travellers move quickly through arrivals and declarations.
Security Procedures
CDG uses modern, multi-layered security with advanced screening technology and trained staff at checkpoints across the terminals. Allow extra time during busy periods for a smooth journey through security.
