No James, If you have a PCR test that is made before your arrival and you got a HES code from the Turkey entry webform, then you can enter the country with no problem without the need to make another test.

Hello Joseph, travelers need a transit visa for Turkey from Indonesia only if they will leave the airport. Transit passengers who wish to visit the city must have a visa, even if they will only stay for a few hours. A visa is not required if the passenger will remain inside the transit area of the airport.

Hi. I’m a holder of Kazakhstan passport. Flying from New York, USA to Istanbul. I’m fully vaccinated (Pfizer) and have my CDC vaccination card. Do I still need a PCR test upon my arrival or being fully vaccinated it’s enough? Thanks.

Hello Kristina, for vaccinated passengers that hold a vaccination certificate are not required to make a PCR test, but they might need to make an instant COVID test in order to take off the airport upon their arrival.

You have to check the requirements of the country you're flying to. The restrictions of Turkey are applicable only if you're entering the country not when you're leaving it.

Good morning,
I am a seaman traveling from Singapore to Athens and I have to perform a Rapid test in IST airport in order to go to Greece. Is there a Covid Testing facility in the airport and how long the results for a Rapid test will be available?
I am fully vaccinated (2-doses) and I have also recovered from Covid since November 2021.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello Theodoros, if you have a recovery certificate then you can easily enter Turkey without any problem as long as you apply for a HES code from the Turkey Entry Webform 24hours before.
When it comes the airport PCR testing, you can find some labs inside the airport that provides this service. We don't have many information about it, but you can check it yourself upon your arrival.

Hello Ziati, unvaccinated passengers can enter Turkey just with a Covid PCR test that is made 72hours before landing next to the HES code that needs to be maintained from the Turke Travel Entry webform. Once you have the PCR test you don't need to make another one upon your arrival.

Hello John, for passengers wishing to enter Turkey, they must have a PCR test that is made 72hours at most, a vaccination certificate, or a covid recovery, also they complete the "Turkey Traveler Entry" webform and maintain the HES Code (health certificate) 72 hours at most before departing and presented at check-in and upon arriving. You don't need any visa to enter the country.

Hi Mitch, when it comes to the transit details; you have to check with your flight operators. For the Istanbul Airport, you're allowed to transit for your layover timing period as long as you stay in the transit area. If you would like to leave the transit, then you must take a PCR test or an Antigen and get a HES code from the Turkey Entry webform 24hours before your arrival.
