No Jodie, unvaccinated passengers can enter Turkey just with a Covid PCR test that is made 72hours before landing next to a HES code. You will need to quarantine for 14days only if the Covid test is positive.

Have a question.
I have been fully vacinated with pfizer and will be traveling from Argentina to Copenhagen. The problem is that the plane lands in Brasil for some hours to colect pssangers to fly to Istanbul. After arriving to istanbul I have to wait one night in Istanbul and am offered hotel by airlines to wait till my flight to Copenhagen. My question is what rules does apply to me in this situation. Do I still need to present PCR test even if I am fully vaccinated or is ir enough with antigen, or I do not need any of those at all?
Thank you for your answer.

Yes Saul, as long as you're vaccinated and you hold a vaccination certificate then you will only need to make a Rapid test upon your arrival at the Istanbul Airport.

No Shahzaib, for vaccinated passengers that hold vaccination certificates they need to make an instant COVID test in order to take off the airport.

Hi, i want to book a flight from Malta to Skopje with Turkish airlines, it will be tranzit flight Malta-Istanbul-Skopje at the end of January. I have few hours to spend on the airport in the tranzit area to catch the flight for skopje. My passport is going to expire on 8th March 2022 and im wondering if im going to have problems just tranziting through Istanbul airport (without leaving the airport) in order to get in my home country and extend my passport.

No Katja, it wouldn't be a problem to only transit with your passport because you will not need to request any visa for transit.

Passengers who have only transit in the Istanbul airport do not need to submit a PCR test as long as they stay in the transit area, they must pay attention to the requirements of the country of destination with regards to PCR testing, age limits, and isolation periods.

Yes Gary, your family will need to make a PCR test before arrival 72hours at most. For 12year old, the Covid restrictions are not applying to them.

Yes Nasir, you will need a PCR test if you're not vaccinated also a Rapid test upon your arrival. You will have to quarantine only if the Covid test turned out positive. Make sure to apply for the HES code for both of you 24hours before.
