Yes Meera, you can enter Turkey with a COVID-19 vaccination showing that they have taken both doses for at least 14 days before entering.

Passengers who are fully vaccinated and hold a COVID vaccination certificate do not need to submit a PCR test in order to enter Turkey. All you need is to complete the "Turkey Traveler Entry" webform and maintain the HES Code (health certificate) 72 hours at most before departing and presented at check-in and upon arriving.

My wife, my daughter and I are planning to arrive in Turkey on March 17th. My wife and I are fully vaccinated and have had our booster shots for Covid. My daughter turns 12 years old on 16 February 2022. She will receive her first dose of Covid vaccine on 16th February and her second dose the minimum three weeks later on March 9th. We we arrive she will only have had her second vaccination 8 days earlier. But it is not possible to have it any earlier because of her age. Will this present a problem when we arrive?

You will check for the vaccination regulations in your country. For entering Turkey, children 12years and below are not submitted to Covid restrictions.

You need your passport, HES code related to the number of your passport, and a vaccination certificate. If you're not vaccinated you need a PCR test in order to enter Turkey.

Hello, Im in Dubai right now with a Canadian passport. Im fully vaccinated. If I got covid on January 5 and I will be ending my quarantine on January 15 and I will have a clearance certificate (recovery certificate). My flight to Turkey will be on January 22. So, it will be 17 days before entering Turkey. 1) Will they do a random test at airport? 2) If yes and we know that you can still test positive even a month after, will they let me enter Turkey without quarantine if I show the recovery certificate? Thank you

If you have a covid recovery certificate you will not need to make a PCR test, but a Rapid test might be done upon your arrival at the Istanbul Airport. When it comes to the quarantine period, it changes based on the duration of your previous recovery. Its better to have a PCR test prior in case you don't want to make it in the make it at the airport.

Hello there, first of all thanks a lot guys for answering all of our questions at this difficult and confusing times :) So I will be traveling from Bangladesh with a 4 hour transit in Turkey before flying to UK. This page suggests that I must have negative PCR test results but in the comments section I can see that as long as I stay in the transit area I don't need to. Would you be able to confirm? Kind regards, Nowmi

Hello Nowmi, you will need to take the test if you will have to leave the transit area. It all depends on how long are the transit. But the test gets useful when it is needed for the next destination. We wish you safe travel :)

Hi there, Im coming from Lebanon and only transiting through Turkey. I.e im not leaving the airport. I am fully vaccinated from Germany. Do I need a PCR test to board Turkish airlines from Beirut? Do I need a PCR test to transit through the airport only? Many thanks for your answers in advance.

No Nora, passengers who have only transit in the Istanbul airport do not need to submit a PCR test as long as they stay in the transit area, you must pay attention to the requirements of the country of your destination with regards to PCR testing, age limits, and isolation periods. We wish you a safe travel :)
