HI! I am a citizen of Bulgaria. I am planning on travelling from Maldives to Bulgaria with Turkish airlines with transit in Istanbul. Since I am not vaccinated, should I have proof of negative PCR test in order to fly with Turkish airlines?

Hello Vesi, passengers who have only transit in the Istanbul airport do not need to submit a PCR test as long as they stay in the transit area, you must pay attention to the requirements of the country of your destination with regards to PCR testing, age limits, and isolation periods. In regards to the flying company requirements, you should consult your flying operator.

Hi. I am travelling from Greece to Norway via Instabul as transit. My destination country (Norway) requires a rapid test for COVID-19. Do i have to submit a PCR also in Instabul or it is enough with the rapid test since the airport is only transit for me and not my final destination? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I'm planning my trip to Turkey in March and I'm coming from Singapore under vaccinated Travel. I'm curious if visitors who are under Moderna vaccine is it acceptable to enter the country.

Hello, could you clarify the domestic flights' restrictions, please: on your site: This does not apply to: Passengers below 12 years. on Turkish Airlines: The requirement applies for all our passengers aged 18 (entered the age of 18) and over. (https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-ru/announcements/coronavirus-outbreak/pcr-test-mandatory-terms-and-conditions/) I'm going to travel with my son of 14 years old, and don't really know if he needs a PCR test.

Hello Pavel, passengers over 12 years of age and younger than 18 years of age, traveling with their parents are allowed to board the flight if they can submit a PCR test with a negative result taken within maximum 72 hours before arrival in Turkey. These are the new restrictions, but you can consult with your flight operator for more information.

Hi, I am planning a trip to Turkey in March under the vaccinated travel lane. I am an Indian passport holder, living in Singapore (I do not have valid visa or residency permits of USA, UK, Schengen countries or Ireland. How do I apply for a Turkish visa as it looks like I am not eligible for the e-Visa facility? I am unable to contact the Turkish Embassy in Singapore so far.

Hey Adam, for vaccinated passengers wishing to enter Turkey, they must complete the "Turkey Traveler Entry" webform and maintain the HES Code (health certificate) 72 hours at most before departing and presented at check-in and upon arriving.

I am scheduled to fly from Athens, Greece to IAD (Washington, DC) on Feb 7, connecting through Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. I tested positive for COVID (PCR lab) on Jan 31, and will get my recovery certificate from a clinic in Athens, valid from Feb 6. I read somewhere that I need to have 28 days from the date of the positive test, but I read other places that I'm OK as long as I have the recovery certificate that's not more than 180 days old. Will I be able to travel with a recovery certificate if I first tested positive on Jan 31?

For people who are immune to COVID-19, vaccination and PCR testing are not required. The passengers who have had the COVID-19 disease and passed 180 days maximum after their positive PCR test results are deemed immune. You can travel with your certificate as long you have fully recovered.

I will be travelling on Emirates to IST and want to do a self transfer to Turkish Airlines as I want to fly onwards to Antalya. How much transfer time do I have to keep in mind for connecting from International flight to Domestic flight ?, but I will be picking up my own bags and doing a check in again at Turksish airline check-in ? I want to know as connection times expected due to covid related protocols might be in place and may take additional time.

You can check with your flight operators regarding the timing. When it comes to the Istanbul Airport transfer timing it is not specific because it always considers the timing of the procedures between the flights.

I will be travelling from Malaysia to UK and transit in Istanbul. There are few questions that I would like to ask as below: 1. From Malaysia to UK: Do we need to take the PCR test if we're only transit in Istanbul for 2hrs (only stay in transit area)? 2. From UK to Malaysia: We took 32hrs transit in Istanbul and plan to go out from airport and visit Istanbul city. What are the requirement for that? Do we need to fill any form/ do any covid test? All the travellers are fully vaccinated.
